Trekking along the journey of academia, Marvin was a promising student and counted among the crème de la crème thus, completing his Primary with a First Class. His dream of a bright future grew dim as he gave in to wayward character. He became a television fanatic and a back bencher in class, turning his back on the former life of excellence. His time was devoted to watching movies, series and cartoons as opposed to studying. As a result, his grades dropped drastically as he would get B’s and C’s. No matter the effort he made, he could not return to his former glory.
Marvin came to 3G Ministries in 2016 and encountered the PPS initiative which marked the genesis of a turnaround in his academic journey. He alluded that through the teachings of Prophet Cedric, his lifestyle became that of obedience and discipline. He diverted his attention solely to his academics and studied with everything he had in him. As a result, he attained 59 points; grade A for Junior Certificate. Proceeding to Senior School level, he still maintained the good character which was considered to be rather strange and hence his colleagues mocked him. Afraid of being isolated because of this, the young lad failed to refute his critics.
He began being reluctant in doing his assignments and what was expected of him as a student thus his marks dropped – yet again. Marvin attested that during this time, the man of God gave the PPS students a message that there can be no victory without pain. Pondering over the message, he realized that he had to undergo the pain of mockery for being distinct and this is when he went back on track. He forged ahead looking forward to the victory he would reap as a reward for being obedient. As thus, he won accolades for the hard work put in coupled with discipline and character. Ready to sit for his final examinations, he took the Living sticker and to his amazement he achieved the best results- 48 points colored with 5 A*s! Glory be to God Almighty!
