“Lord Jesus I have done my part; with genuine willingness I have read and studied. All I am asking is for You to prove Your ability through me.” This is the prayer that young Letlotlo Joan Motlhwa made as she was writing her Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).
Prior to this, Letlotlo’s attention to her academics was divided; a large portion of it was taken up by friends who did not add any value to her life. Instead of focusing on her school work, she would xx her assignments and hang out with these friends. Consequently, these habits led to a downfall in her academic performance. Initially a first-class, student, she dropped drastically and started getting grade C’s.
In the year 2014, Letlotlo’s mother started fellowshipping with the Gospel of God’s Grace Ministries. As would any good mother, upon witnessing how God was transforming the lives of many, she started taking her daughter along. During her last year of primary school, Letlotlo was privileged to join the Prophet Parent Student (PPS) initiative. Regarding the initiative, the young lady said, “The teachings of the man of God kept me going in my academics. The Prophet taught us that we shall reap what we sow. This urged me to sow the good seed of studying so that I might reap good academic results.” she said.
When the time came for her to write her examinations, she prayed and ministered herself with the Living Water believing God to see her through. Indeed, when the academic results came out, Letlotlo was counted among the crème de la crème of her school; she had obtained grade A! Conducting her testimony with an eloquence and articulacy beyond her years, the eleven year old gave thanks to God for her academic breakthrough.
