MY DAYS OF FAILURE ARE OVER

From a tender age, Malebogo Keipeile has always been an intelligent child who even went forth to obtain grade A in her Primary School Leaving Examinations. Joining a much senior group in secondary school, young Malebogo found herself amidst an unruly bunch and this began to adversely affect her character.

The bad traits that she picked up include party- hopping where cigarette puffing and binge drinking made up the main course served. “My weekends meant me staying away from home and that was my life” she said. Moreover, her friends introduced her to social media platforms such as Facebook and that opened a gateway to the world of dating at the tender age of thirteen. “I would date more than two boys at a go yet I would continue living in denial of my wrong doings” confessed the young lady.
Dating, partying and face- booking brought about a drastic change in the academic life of Malebogo as her concentration levels were affected and almost brought to a nil. However, she still managed to proceed to the senior level of secondary school. During her progression in the new environment, she still failed to cope as her grades deteriorated for the worst. She found herself swimming in the low ranges of twenties in terms of her aggregate points.

In 2016, Malebogo was privileged to enroll in the PPS initiative and that is where she took a heart decision to amend her ways and include Christ Jesus in her academic life. She narrates that messages such as “POWER OF CHOICE” that she received from the servant of God, Prophet Cedric propelled her to be interested in her academics. Immediately she quit smoking, drinking alcohol and deactivated her Facebook account. “I also had to change the kind of friends that I had and change my sitting position in class.” She added. Moreover, Malebogo put into action the encouragements that she received from the man of God, she studied very hard as if everything depended on her. From the 23 points that she used to obtain she astonished herself and scored a whopping 43 points in her BGCSE.
