Thabang Cedric Borokgwe has witnessed the power of God in his academics through the PPS initiative. From primary school level he was a straight A student and promising but upon reaching junior school, things took a bad turn in his life. He entertained bad company and would often be around colleagues who cared less of their academics. As he kept on his journey, he became overpowered by the spirit of lust and got involved in multiple concurrent partnerships at the age of 14. All this indiscipline gave birth to a decline in his academic performance and he only managed to obtain grade B for his Junior Certificate examinations.
Thabang was then admitted into senior school and it was at this stage that his family was concerned and had lost hope in his academics.One of his relatives invited him to the Gospel of God’s Grace Ministries where he experienced a radical transformation in his life. Thabang listened to the messages of Prophet Cedric and he began to align his character to the word; he stopped dating and got rid of all bad friends. As a result there was a tremendous change in his academics. For the first time in senior school, Thabang did not become a spectator during prize giving but he became a partaker. To his astonishment he scooped an award for Best in social studies and another for the Top 10 bracket; Senior level.
In 2015, he was still steadfast in faith and was privileged to enroll for the PPS initiative where he took the messages of the man of God to heart. “The man of God told us to up our spirit and to up our game so I took these words to heart and worked hard towards being successful academically. When the exams approached, I had the privilege to acquire the Living Water which I used when praying and ministered on myself just before the examinations as I believed God to see me through,” articulated a joy filled Thabang .
Indeed genuine willingness plus God’s ability equals Excellence and this is confirmed by the good results obtained by Thabang. He proudly announced that he got a whopping 47 points which comprises of 2A*’s, 3A’s, 2B’s and a C. ‘My word of encouragement to all students is that they must stand up and stand out, what I am saying is that they should arise and shine, ” said the young man fully filled with joy.
