During the 2016 independence holidays when the Erick’s had gone to their native village of Tutume, their 3 year old daughter, Panashe fell sick; she started experiencing diarrhea and vomiting. They could not decipher the origin of the problem but knew pretty well that something was amiss with her. They ran to the nearest primary hospital for medical attention but only received temporary solution. Within a short span, the child lost a lot of body fluids and weight. As Panashe’s problem persisted, the Erick’s decided to seek medical aid from a different hospital but all their efforts proved futile.

For two full weeks poor Panashe was a hostage of abdominal pains which were accompanied by vomiting and severe diarrhea. This abdominal pains counted against her general wellbeing as it regulated her efficiency and rendered her almost unable to do anything. She became weak and could not walk or sit properly. When it dawned on the Erick’s family that their child’s problem was more than meets the ordinary eye, they decided to tackle it spiritually. They came to the Gospel of God’s Grace Ministries and were among those who were privileged to be prayed for by the man of God Prophet Cedric during the one on one prayer line. According to the Erick’s family just a touch from the man of God was enough to expel Panashe’s sickness. Since that touch she can now eat without vomiting and she can also play with her friends. The abdominal pains are now a thing of the past; the little girl has regained her weight and she is now fit.

Moreover their first born daughter Violet came thanked God for the unmerited favor upon her academics. For a long time she could not reach her full potential for she depended entirely on her brilliance and excluded God from the equation. In 2015, when she was doing form 3 Violet attended one of the last PPS meetings for the year with Prophet Cedric. The man of God urged the students to ‘Up their Spirits’ and Violet obeyed the righteous instruction and this was evident in her JCE results where she obtained 6A’s and 3B’s.

Violet continuously came to the church and even attended the Crossover Candlelight service of 2015/16 where the man of God declared that the names of everyone present shall be known among nations. These words became true in the life of Violet Erick as on July her parents received a call from the Botswana Examinations Council inviting them to the 2016 excellence awards for their child was among the top 10 JCE achievers. On the 8 July 2016 Violet Erick and her family were at the Gaborone International Convention Centre where she received an award accompanied by a trophy, an iPad and a wireless router. Violet not only has past achievements to acknowledge because in present time she continues to perform exceptionally well in her studies; as in September 2016 during the prize giving ceremony at her current school she was given an award for being the Best student in French!
