Struck by a piercing pain that thundered through her entire back, Mrs Rebecca Matobong was left shocked, wondering what the cause could be, this was in the year 1992. ‘I must be aging’, she thought to herself, brushing the issue off. To her dismay, years passed and the pain just wouldn’t go away! On paying the medics a visit, Mrs Matobong was informed that she had arthritis and at this, she was given copious tablets to reduce the pain and also advised to take olive oil so as to lubricate her joints.
“Each day I had to take a spoonful of olive oil as the doctor had said it would lubricate my joints. Even so, the situation remained the same,” indicated Mrs Matobong as she described the toil she had to go through because of the arthritis. As time went on, her knees also became weak and painful, as a result she could hardly walk, squat or even bend on her own. During a medical checkup, the doctor clearly indicated that the cartilage on her joints had been rubbing on each other hence causing the pain. As such, she had to go for physiotherapy and was also in queue for a knee replacement surgery.
Having heard about the Monday Prayer Line on the 17th of July 2017, Mrs Matobong made her way to the church and as the man of passed by her she made a plea of faith, asking God to heal her through His servant. Lo and behold! At just a touch, Mrs Matobong threw the crutch she was using as support to the ground and began walking majestically in the light of her testimony. Now totally free she can walk and even bend with no need for support.
