When in attendance of the 3G Sunday service, Ms Kgoboki was shaken to the core when a prophetic message bared all that has been the origin of her anguish. Prophet Cedric pointed out that there was a dark cloud covering her which was the spirit of death and it was responsible for the death of three people in her family.
In affirmation of this prophecy, Ms Kgoboki states that she was haunted by dreams of the dead including a sibling she lost through a car accident and two other cousins. After losing her brother, she even failed to be part of those who view the deceased for she felt as if that would attract the spirit of death. Due to these nightmares, fear of death engulfed her and rendered her life miserable. Driving became unbearable as an alien thought constantly nagged her that she will meet the same demise as her sibling. A stranger occurrence further intensified the fear of death in her: while driving, she would have the feeling that she will encounter an accident scene ahead and indeed that normally came to pass. She would then hear a voice caution her that it could have been her in the accident which brought shivers down her spine the more.
Laying out the extent of the discord inflicted upon her by the spirit of death, Ms Kgoboki explains that she has been an object of rejection in all aspects of her life. Her professional life did not escape the harsh wrath of the spirit of death as she narrates that she had become frustrated in her work life. There has been no promotion at work regardless of her efforts to be an exemplary and outstanding employee. She had in turn resorted to isolating herself severing most social relations. A spiritual husband has been a contributory factor to her despair. As if that was not enough, Ms Kgoboki states that used to feel as if there was a spider on her face which she tried to remove but failed because physically it was not there. She goes on to say that she regularly saw a shadow pass in front of her and an eerie darkness encompassing her, entrenching the spirit of death further in her life.
Amidst the bleak state of her life, Ms Kgoboki believed God for a way out. Upon meeting God at the point of her need she exclaims that she has found peace. The life changing prayer she received has brought about freedom from the clutches of the spirit of death. Radiating with joy, she shares with the church that she no longer sees the dead, see the spiritual husband nor does she have fear of death! Death has been defeated all to the glory of God.
