Life had been nothing but a gloomy fairytale for Onnetse, who had expectations to graduate with a Diploma in AAT in one of the local institutions. However, her sponsorship elapsed before she could complete some of her modules. With this, frustration began creeping into her life; seeing that life had turned against her. At that point, her mother offered to sponsor her studies which she declined due to the hopelessness that filled her heart.

In no time, she made her way to 3G Ministries where the very first service that she attended marked a turnaround in her life. “During intercession, the man of God told us that we are God’s greatest assets. Hearing this, I felt as if someone was embracing me and instantly, I felt hope being rekindled in my heart. It was as if I was being transferred from the darkness to light and I began to see life in a different manner,” alluded blissful Onnetse. After the service, her academic dream was reborn and she reverted back to her mother in acceptance to the offer for re-sponsorship. A few years later, she completed her Diploma in AAT in 2016.

She went on to further her studies in 2017 and by then she was part of the PPS initiative. The teachings of the man of God encouraged her to forge on to excellence as she diverted her attention from where it had been to her academics. She let go of her many friends and this proved effective as she managed to pass her first levels. Along her journey a predicament surfaced in her life – her mother was hit by stroke. As a student, this weighed heavily on her academics because the time she could have spent studying she spent nursing her mother. Due to the diverted attention, she failed and discontinued in her last level. This did not discourage her as she knew that suffering comes before glory and that God was achieving something in her life through the challenge.

Months after the mishap she was informed that she had been enrolled in an intenship program. Later on she was called for an interview to become a teller in which she was successful and after six months of probation, she was declared permanent and pensionable. Glory to God in the Highest
