For almost fifteen years, Mr. Onalenna Gabobofane from Mmutlane village was addicted to smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol after being introduced to these bizarre habits by his peers. As a result of being constantly intoxicated at school, he couldn’t perform well academically; he failed dismally. Nonetheless, he completed his studies in 2007 and found a job in a construction company which sadly did not last long as the company closed down two years down the line. For him, this meant living in the realm of joblessness, with nowhere to go. For eight years, his life was dominated by struggles to fend for himself although he had no income.
Overwhelmed by the challenges life had thrown to him, Mr. Gabobofane resorted to being a street vendor, selling sweets in order to make ends meet but still it was not enough to sustain his needs. Desperate for a solution, he went from one spiritualist to another. The spiritualists would give him different concoctions to take and even bath with but still there was no solution. All these happenings demoralized him and he was left very hopeless, believing that good things were not meant for him. One fateful day in May 2016, Mr. Gabobofane visited the Gospel of God’s Grace Ministries. On that particular Sunday Service, the man of God was preaching a power-filled message titled, “Build your life on Character”. This message, impelled him to make an introspection of his life thus he decided to change his character. He decided to discontinue all his bad habits; partying, drinking and smoking, and eventually God set him completely free through His Word. For over five months now, the urge to drink alcohol or smoke totally vanished.
Mr. Gabobofane’s relationship with God kept on growing; messages by Prophet Cedric together with fellow congregants’ testimonies strengthened his faith. During the Sunday service of the 31st of July 2016, the man of God gave a declaration saying, “… God is releasing all jobs and money that satan has been keeping on hold.” Mr. Gabobofane had assurance that he shall be among the people that God would bless with employment. Lo and behold! Just three days later, he was called for an interview by a company that he applied to two years back. The interview was successful and now he is employed as a Plant Operator. For a young man who once had serious career and financial challenges, life has suddenly become favourable towards him after taking heed to the teaching of the man of God. Aside from being employed on a permanent and pensionable basis, he now has a good salary with good incentives; he is now able to provide for himself and his family.
