Growing up, Elijah Kabwe proved to be a promising child; he excelled in his academics and showed interest in learning. However this was short lived because as early as standard three, his character began to change for the worst. He stopped heeding his teacher’s counsel and resolved to noise making and hanging out with manner-less people. The higher he went, the worse it got and as a result, he did not perform to the best of his ability during his Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE).
Carrying the same attitude to Junior school, Elijah became worse by the day. He started smoking, drinking and constantly watching pornography; neglecting his school work all together. He never listened in class, let alone do any of his assignments or even jot down notes. He would rather steal notebooks from the hardworking students but still failed dismally; he would get grade E’s and D’s. Elijah was among the popular rascals in his school and couldn’t care less about it.
Fortunately, before Elijah could hit rock bottom, he was introduced to the Gospel of God’s Grace Ministries where he was privileged to receive the character building message from Prophet Cedric. The young man made a heart decision to act on the word so as to change his character. As the light of God fervently penetrated his life all darkness was expelled; every bad habit that he had become accustomed to was flushed out. The desire to learn was born in him and as a result, he let go of all the bad influence and spent time studying much more than the time he spent with friends. As a result, there was a tremendous change in his academics; from the grade E’s he used to get, Elijah has now scooped an overall grade B in his Junior Certificate Examinations.
