“Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our inequities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4-6 [NKJV]
The Bible makes us understand that the punishment which is the suffering, trouble and rejection of men that Jesus endured was not for Him. The stripes inflicted on Him was for our healing. When He was beaten it was not so that He may receive peace but rather He endured all for our sins and transgressions.
It is not necessary for you to be sick, undergo suffering and torment because Jesus Christ was crushed for us to be forgiven our inequities. As child of God, sickness and all sorts of calamities are not yours unless you fail to take your position in the believer’s authority, hence even though the Bible says by His stripes you are healed, you are still sick. If He went through punishment, you must have peace. You just need to take your position in the believer’s authority and get from God what is rightfully yours in the name of Jesus!
