CROSSOVER 2016 – 2017: A Report

 

Rain clouds gathered in what seemed to become an ensuing storm on the 30^th of December 2016 but that did not deter the faith-filled Christians who took it upon themselves to honor God’s invitation to the two-day journey with Prophet Cedric.

The 3G Ministries worship team serenading the congregants into a cherished spree of worship and just when hearts were open to the move of God, Prophet Cedric took to the altar with a message titled, ‘YOU MUST BE SEPARATED FROM YOUR PAST!’

Unfolding his message, he first likened the past to a shadow that superficially follows one around and gives an untrue and false name to its victim. The man of God elaborated his message as thus, “There was a blind man in the Bible whose past had attached the false name of a ‘blind’ man to his life. [Acts 3:1-10] tells us that he met Apostles Peter and John, and so the story of his life changed. All those who recognized him from his former position at the gate at which he would beg from were now filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. This goes to show that nobody comes to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and remains bound.” Prophet Cedric went even further to give instances from the Bible where destinies were changed when God stepped into the scene. He said, “Jacob met God in the person of an angel and soon after, his name changed from Jacob to Israel. Abram and Sarai met God and their names changed to Abraham and Sarah. Thus under the heavy surge of the anointing of God, he boldly drove his message to completion by declaring that, “The promise of God for your life still stands today; your name is going to change but first, you must be disconnected from your past. That is, you must drop failures, setbacks, disappointments, anti- marriage and every curse that you were born with.”

The people of God received such words with one cohesive voice as they shouted for joy with eagerness for the Spirit of God to put an end to their troubled pasts. The man of God moved amidst the crowds, isolating out those with cases that had been settled in Heaven and in urgent need of the verdict to be passed on earth.

As Prophet Cedric drew close to the prophetic compass, he also attended to the multitudes that were arranged on the prayer line. Unlike the previous years, this particular prayer line saw the largest number of cases registered for God’s immediate attention. As the servant of God began laying hands on the sick, God’s power was almost tangible.

 

Those seated in full view of the display of the healing power of God could not contain their shouts as praise as not one nor two but many people who came with wheelchairs and walking aids threw back these instruments and began to briskly walk, stretch, jump and eventually run as demonstration of the miracles they had just received! More testimonies began to ensue after the touch of God, cases of HIV, Cancer, Osteoporosis and Arthritis, were all settled right in the arena of liberty, where Grace spoke for the people of God.

The prayer line came a halt as resounding shouts of praise reverberated throughout the national stadium. The man of God returned to the altar to close the Day 1 service with a powerful mass prayer that sprung forth to dissemble and put to confusion the whole kingdom of darkness. Destinies were unlocked as all impure hearts proclaimed the salvation of Jesus Christ and thus, God’s people were ready to be ushered into the New Year with no impediment or blemish.

In day 2 of the Two day journey, we witnessed multitudes thronging into the seating arena of the stadium in the early hours of the day. Proudly waving their country national flags and dressed in all white, it was evident that the message of God had reached many. Despite the slight showers of rain that graced the atmosphere, the attendance of the day two service was evidently much larger than that of the previous service.

When the much awaited hour struck right, once more the church choir took to the stage and this time, tickled the crowd and sent it straight into a musical extravaganza of powerful praise songs, all in tribute to Jesus Christ; the very reason for the season. Witnessing to the multitudes were the testimonies that had broken to the world in the previous Day 1 Prayerline. The same people who came lame and ailing, were now dressed to the nines, in smiles and with resounding words of encouragement to believers’ all over the world!

Soon enough, the world class performances by the Sunday school and PPS students astonished many as the youthful pupils showcased their talents in a vibrant nature.

A variety of performances such as mass dance, poetry of the young pastors, break dances and traditional dances demonstrated the innumerable selections of worship to God Almighty. The commando-march inspired mass dance depicted the upcoming generals that shall stand steadfast to make up the army of Christ Jesus in a world that has turned its back on the Saviour.

Soon after these exhibitions, the crowd broke into shouts of joy as the man of God arrived in the stadium and took to the altar with the message of God, boldly declaring, ‘2017 IS A YEAR OF GOD’S GRACE.’ In furtherance, he said, “Jesus Christ’s special message for you is that 2017 is a unique year; one that calls for total reliance and dependence on God.”

The message led to the most cherished and long awaited moment of Candlelight. Prophet Cedric, with his candle in hand, led the masses into prayer. The flame of his candle sparked light that was passed along the whole stadium, giving light to every life present in the arena of Grace. Just as the stadium lights were dimmed to give way to the shining light of the candles, a great ambiance of glory covered the whole stadium; a worthy and memorable sight to behold!

Right after the declarations and prophetic message was given, the man of God went on to announce and welcome the Year of God’s Grace. In tune were fireworks that went off to bedazzle and decorate the skyline colorfully as the entire congregation broke into celebrations of the New Year.  These celebrations carried onto the very wee hours of the morning and the sun rose again in agreement and fulfilment of scripture as Sunday 1^st January 2017 came to live.
