Let us remember the words of the Psalmist when he said, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil.”[Psalms 23: 4] This means that in whatever situation we might find ourselves in, the presence of God with us causes us not to fear.
Take this time to look into the lives of the patriarchs of faith. When you look into the life of Daniel, you will realize that God never kept him away from trials. At the time when he was thrown into the lion’s den, God did not stop this from happening, rather He entered the lion’s den with him and shut the mouths of the lions.
In the same vein, God has never promised to keep you away from trials but He promised to see you through. What are you going through at this point in time? Are you on the sickbed? The scripture says the Lord is your Healer, He has promised to see you through your sickness. Are you in lack? Do not forget what Abraham said when Isaac asked him about the lamb of sacrifice. He said, ‘on the mountain it shall be provided.’ Are you in bondage? The Lord has promised to set you free! The doors God opens, no one can shut – if he opens the door of poverty, sickness or bondage and says to you, ‘walk out’, no one can hold you back. Remember, for those of us who believe, there is no impossible.
My dear people, this may be your year of drought! But I want to encourage you that whatever you are going through at this moment should not cause you to panic because God is with you. Your situation is meant to bring you closer to Jesus and to strengthen your desire and determination for God as did all the heroes of faith. I pray that your desire and determination for God be strengthened in the name of Jesus Christ!
THE GRACE OF GOD IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU.
