“After hearing the message of the Man of God Prophet Cedric, I purposed it in my heart to dream again and work towards building my future”. These are the words said by Clinton Makoni, one of the prosperous PPS diamonds this year who became an active participant of the PPS initiative in 2016.
Taking us through his testimony, the young man said he started performing well academically from a very tender age but as he stepped up the academic ladder he began to surround himself with a lot of friends that stole his attention from his academics. He began to be a back bencher just so he could chit chat. Often times he would play beyond maxima hence he did not even have time for his books and he submitted assignments late. As a result, he even found himself taking D’s at school. Clinton lacked a dream; when many aspired to be this and that he would have nothing to say hence even good grades were of no use to him.
Having been enrolled in PPS, Clinton got the opportunity to attend meetings with the man of God. Through these messages, he was inspired to change his character and put more effort into his academics. With just an encounter with counsels from Prophet Cedric Clinton started to have a dream of being a doctor, he cut out bad friends and went to sit at very front in his class.
The divine equation – ‘Genuine willingness plus God’s ability equals to excellence’ also accelerated his run towards academic excellence. In building anticipation towards his PSLE examinations he prayed and ministered the medium of the living water with absolute faith and trust that he will surely do well at the end of the year.
Indeed obedience is a show way to blessings; just by listening to the instruction given by the man of God and acting in line with it PPS Clinton witnessed gradual improvement in his academics. This was attested to by the PSLE results which proved that he had moved from a C to an A. For subjects such as Agriculture, Mathematics, Setswana which he used to fail, he managed to pass them very well all for the glory of God.
