Simple childish whims had stolen Larona’s attention from her academics; life for her became all fun and games hence leading her to an academic failure. Larona never made time for her books and as a result her brilliance, proficiency as well as desire to learn was reduced to zero. Her mind had been so eroded that she could no longer store any information; she would learn only to forget!
“In subjects like Setswana and Agriculture, I would get B’s and C’s which made me sad but I did not do anything to improve my results because my focus was diverted to other things.”
Larona’s performance had deteriorated so much that it became a subject at the tip of every tongue; out of concern, her parents could not stop talking about her academic decline. Having heard of this, Larona’s uncle introduced her to 3G Ministries, informing her of the PPS initiative that had changed the academic stance of many.
“My uncle told me about the PPS initiative and I made a heart’s decision to visit the church. Upon coming I took full advantage of PPS and it yielded good results. I listened to the man of God when he said, ‘Genuine willingness plus God’s ability equals excellence’ these divine words encouraged me to work hard” shared the elated young lady.
Just after being introduced to PPS, Larona started to devote her time and attention to her books, trusting God to fulfil His promise in her life. With continued hard work, she wrote her Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) also ministering and praying with the Living Water. Upon the release of the results, she had amazed herself by obtaining an overall grade A, with an improvement in Agriculture and Setswana.
“Every man can speak, but the words spoken by a Prophet are unique; they have the ability to change lives. Take these words to heart and your life will never remain the same again,” these were the words of the young Larona as she gave her word of encouragement, in closing of her testimony.
