Wazha Koloi grew up as a promising child; he used to get grade A’s through his academic journey but along the way things took a wrong turn. Today he came to 3G Ministries to give glory to God for restoring his academic excellence. Starting with a cascade of flashbacks, he revealed that he used to obtain grade A’s from his early primary days, which he attributed to being a very focused and obedient student. However, this positive attitude to his studies made him subject to the ridicule and jeers of his classmates. Some of them labelled him ‘outdated’ due to the fact that he shunned acting mischievous during class.
Overwhelmed by the pressure to fit in, he finally succumbed and started mirroring the behaviour of his peers. He started neglecting his studies, joined the back benchers in his class and teachers watched as the young man’s behaviour went bad overnight. Soon his name was regularly counted among the students who made noise. Unaware of his recent change of character, this came as a shock to his parents. Even as teachers tried to redirect his attention by advising him to work hard, all their efforts proved futile; his results took a nose dive down from a grade A to B.
At wit’s end, the once focused and obedient Wazha became a thorn his parents’ flesh. Rather than watching their son waste his future away, they introduced to 3G Ministries in the year 2015. This is where the young lad met God Almighty; the Deliverer. As he frequented the church, he was priviledged to be enrolled in the PPS Initiative. Attending the PPS meetings, he was revived as the teachings of Prophet Cedric made an impact in his heart. As the man of God encouraged the PPS students to up their spirit during class, marry their books and work on their character, he was encouraged to change his bad character and diverted his attention from mischief to his academics. Indeed obedience is a sure way to excellence because Wazha’s academic performance began displaying signs of improvement. Although there were some subjects that he found challenging, he was not discouraged. He started working hard on those subjects with a penitent heart with a steadfast faith in the heavenly equation that ‘genuine willingness plus God’s ability equals excellence.’
As he progressed through his primary school, his efforts eventually paid off as he scooped a prize of ‘Best student in French” at standard 6. When he got to standard 7, he continued obeying the teachings of Prophet Cedric as his prepared for his Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE). When the time came for his examinations, he ministered the Living Water and prayed with the Living Sticker; believing God to see him through. When the results came out, Wazha’s results were every parent’s dream; from a grade B, he obtained a first class, grade A! This comprised of 5 grade A’s and 2 B’s. Moreover, there was a notable improvement in the subjects that were giving him trouble, namely Social studies and Setswana language, of which he improved from a grade D to a B! Concluding his testimony, the young lad encouraged his peers to sow a seed of good character and obedience in their academics because by doing so they shall reap excellence.
