What a privilege to meet once again in the presence of God – it is a thing of joy to fellowship. I know that at this point in time, we are like those crossing over and I believe that this message will ignite hope, faith and allow the peace of God to dominate your hearts.

The scripture says “After this, the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you.” [Luke 10:1 NIV]

When Jesus sent the disciples out, He did not command them to first seek for those who are sick to proclaim healing, or look for those in bondage to proclaim liberty. Rather, He commanded that the first blessing they are to proclaim is peace – Christ’s first blessing! It is possible for a man to be sick, jobless or in lack yet at peace; the flesh may be afflicted but the peace of God reigns and dominates his heart. According to the scripture, all these troubles we are going through are momentary, even though outwardly we may be wasting away yet inwardly we are growing. [2 Corinthians 4:16 NIV]

The peace of God is the power of God inside our hearts; it holds us together and leads us to a great calm. It is for this reason that though we are challenged, we remain at peace. However, a person with a restless heart cannot make the right judgment; they cannot discern the things of God and those that are not. In most circumstances, the problem lies not in what we go through but how we go through it. It is the decisions that we make within the trial which often times create the problem. If your heart is restless, you are bound to make decisions that will intensify your situation and consequently cost you your life.

The bible in John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” When Jesus says ‘My Peace’ it means that there is another peace that is not of the Lord. The peace of God has nothing to do with what you are going through. Take Lazarus as an example; a poor man who was sick and covered with sores. He sat at the gate of the rich man begging however, we have never heard of him complaining. Despite his challenges, Lazarus was at peace for God’s power was within him; holding him together and causing a great calm in his heart. On the other hand, the peace that the world offers has everything to do with what you are going through. This means that you will only have peace when there is provision. Can we then say that you will continue to be peaceful in its absence? Absolutely not! My people, peace is the promise of God for you today. I pray that the peace of God reign in your heart in the name of Jesus Christ!

THE GRACE OF GOD IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU!
