During her raging teen years, Alice Elijah was confronted by a trend that was seemingly awkward to her. More times than she could recount, she remembers the stares of many men as she would innocently take on her path. Cat calling and snide remarks aside, these men would go to the extent of professing their desires to ‘bed’ her. Lost and naive, she found herself unable to resist the urge of testing the waters much longer and eventually, she gave in to the temptation.
Thereafter, a chain of similar occurrences took place. Men used fancy words to lure her into the trap of sleeping around but little did she know, that her body was used as a focal point for the thirsty eyes that wandered around. In the few instances that she actually recalls, the men in question would time and again make reference to her body structure. Albeit her efforts to cover up and be modestly dressed at all times, it just never stopped! A short walk would turn heads and unwarranted compliments would follow through.
Now imagine the effect of fire to fuel! That’s exactly what happened to the then pitiable young Alice because as she grew older hoping to outgrow the nasty trend that followed her around, her body continued to develop in ways she too could not explain. Smoother skin developed and more men came her way, with one single sexual encounter, they would vanish into thin air! As smart as she was, her brilliance could not stand the test of time and so, she lost out on a lot of opportunities. Even worse, her entire love life was rigged by this mystery that had never let loose of its claws from her life.
Thankfully, she found herself in the presence of Jesus Christ one good day that marked the genesis of liberty into her life. Prophet Cedric charged towards her with a prophetic glance and his words were, “You are not 100% whole; you are half human and half fish. Men used to be attracted to you and would often take you to bed, unaware that they were attracted to a fish.” What followed through was a plain battle between Light and darkness and in no time at all, the heinous spirit gave way and freedom was introduced into her life. Today, Alive joyfully narrated her life story to the church and as well, reiterated that hers is a true testimony, she met the God who rewrites destinies! For the first time in a long time, she can enjoy her peace of mind as she walks down the street and she no longer experiences any unwarranted stares nor snide annotations. She is grateful for the prophecy that has redeemed her life all to God’s glory.
