In an effort to combat the spread of the Corona-virus (COVID – 19), governments all over the world placed rigorous regulations that restricted movement, travel and subjected civilians to stay indoors, maintain social distancing and practice hygiene. As many struggled to cope with the effects of the lock-down, it would seem that the poor, less privileged and elderly would find themselves in an unfortunate situation as they faced prolonged poverty and possible starvation.
