On this very last Sunday service of the year, Prophet Cedric began on a thanksgiving note, cautioning all believers to be grateful for all the Lord has done in the outgoing year 2019. “It is very important that you take time to count your blessings, I mean to reflect on what the Lord has done for you in this past year. To many of you, the enemy has been ministering and telling you that you are useless and do not deserve to be alive and as a result, you are at the brink of quitting in your Christian life. However, when you sit down and reflect on what the Lord has done, counting your blessings one by one you will begin to see how valuable you are in God’s sight for He cannot call a useless person to His presence. No matter how many times man says you are useless, this cannot make that word true for you because God is the driver of your life.

You may have been looking to your right or to your left and noting that your neighbors are seemingly progressing and you are not. As such you have been entertaining sin in your heart; though in the presence of God physically, your heart is absent, simply because you have listened to the enemy telling you that ‘it is not worth it.’ However, as you begin to count your blessings one by one, the cloud of fear, doubt and complexes of inferiority that have been covering you will fly away. Take a moment, pause and think very well about yourself and about your life; some of you were involved in fatal accidents, but by the special Grace of God, you are here, some were sick, hospitalized and even written off but you are still alive. Many thought it normal to wake up this morning yet they could not, but you were able to. Is all this not worth thanksgiving?”

In continuance, the Prophet went on to advise the church on the manner in which they are to approach the New Year stating that 2020 is not a start but only a continuation of our Journey with God. “Life has different seasons; there is a time to prosper, a time to be tested and a time to receive the rewards of the test. This means that we must not treat the difficult times, I mean the time of testing as awkward. Take note that nature appreciates the winter season, where leaves dry up and are blown away and this is simply because they make way for the new- readying the trees to be adorned afresh. Similarly, in life, there should be a season where you lose, where all those whom you could possibly rely on are nowhere to be found. Learn to normalize such a season so that you can learn to live at peace with difficult times. Treat it as an opportunity to draw closer to God. Therefore, do not look at this past year 2019 as your worst year as this is not the mind of God. As the scripture says, “Behold the old is gone and the new has come” [2 Corinthians 5:17] so it is with you, the new can only come if the old has made way. As we head to the crossover, do not let anything that happened to steal your peace.”

Adding on, the Prophet noted, “To those who are born of the Spirit, redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb and adopted by the Spirit of Grace, what they have is not as important as how they got it. Because they know that the manner in which you get a blessing determines how long you shall have it and the kind of peace you shall enjoy. Life is not a sprint but rather a marathon, it is not about the quickest way of getting it but about the rightful way. Stop comparing yourself with others because there is nobody quite like you, moreover you do not know their destiny. In 2020, stop inviting unnecessary struggles and hurdles by mapping your life after the testimony of others lest you perceive God in a bad light; deeming Him as not good enough simply because you did not receive the same blessing as your neighbour.”

As the message unfolded, the prophet delved into a series of revelations inspired by the antecedents of today’s service. “This is the Lord for you today, you do not need to be born wise in order to speak wisdom, you need only to sit in the counsel of the wise. You need not be born with greatness in order to be great, you need only to walk with the great. You do not need to be a person of influence in order to be influential, you need only to walk with people of influence. Surely it is not easy to walk with the great, the wise and the influential for this calls for a life of sacrifice. Ask Elisha and he will tell you that walking, living and submitting to Elijah made him to be one like his master. If you ask Joshua, he will tell you that greatness began when he lived, walked and submitted under Moses. Peter will tell you that his life flourished when he discovered the Lord. Surely, his walk with Jesus was not an easy one because at a point he was even rebuked but he still held on for the sake of a beautiful future ahead. Who on earth is ready to fight for a beautiful life? You cannot just walk into such, you need to fight for it.

In his closing remarks, the Prophet cautioned believers never to forget where they are coming from lest they journey towards their downfall. “The spirit of God was saying to me, never forget the things that made you who you are. For you can never outgrow and become bigger than what made you who you are, if you abandon these, then you have started your slope. What are these things? Your kindness, goodness, generosity and a heart for others for these are the very things that attracted God to you. Therefore, as you continue to be successful in your respective industry in 2020, you need to accelerate your good habits.”

THE GRACE OF GOD IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU.
