For Mrs. Melitah Mosekiemang, life hovered somewhere between ghoulish horror and foreboding that she . After the passing of her husband after seven years of marriage, she lost all hope and lived in a permanent state of grief. Oftentimes, her husband would appear in her dreams but when she woke up to reality, she drowned deeper into a sea of grief. According to her, the passing of her beloved husband was a sign that everything she allowed close to her heart would suffer the same demise. As a result, she maintained a cold, harsh and distant relationship with her only daughter.
All the while, this spirit of death wriggled its tentacles around all aspects of her life; rendering everything about her dead. Mrs. Mosekiemang’s career was dead; for years she remained in the same post of Senior Lecturer 1 (Psychology) while others elevated in their careers. Her finances were dead; for a period of two years, she was stuck in a lesser salary of D4 instead of D3 due to an error in her letter of appointment. Her relationship with her daughter was dead; they never bonded over moments of tender, love and care that are an integral part of a mother-daughter relationship. Growing up under a seemingly unloving mother was hard for Mrs Mosekiemang’s daughter as she was always in the receiving end of her wrath.
Coming to the Gospel of God’s Grace Ministries came as a proposal from one of a colleagues who saw her battered, shattered and hopeless state. On the very first day she arrived in the church, God located her through a prophetic message which shone light in her dark world. As soon as she received that word, hope was revived in her heart and a turnabout was inevitable. As the light made way in her dark life, the first place that came back to life was her finances; within a month she was adjusted to her rightful salary scale.
With her hope renewed, she then applied to upgrade her academics. She applied to study an MBA in International Business, was admitted and succeeded in it as she managed to obtain a first class pass. Having upgraded herself, she went on to upgrade her family. A two bedroomed house that she always wanted to renovate was finally extended into a beautiful, well-furnished three bedroomed house with a double garage. Moreover, her bitter scowl has been softened by the love of God and she is transformed to a loving, affectionate woman. She no longer experiences the spirit of death. Giving her testimony in the presence of her daughter, it is evident that the duo’s relationship has now become sweet and blissful. To top it all off, on the 12th of December, Mrs. Mosekiemang’s bank account reported to have received an accrued amount which amounted to over P59 000! She has been given a back pay of all the months that she had not been receiving her correct salary all for the glory of God.
