My name is Mrs Obonetse Maila residing in Gaborone. I want to take this opportunity to thank God Almighty for making it possible for me to deliver my baby naturally, at full term, without induction and any complications.
I am 42 years of age and as such, during the course of my pregnancy the doctor advised that I be induced when I deliver because of my age. In that moment fear gripped me because of what I had previously heard about induced labor and the challenges that surrounded it. However, I entrusted God with my situation. I was booked for induction on Tuesday 14th July 2020 at 39 weeks.
I pressed on in prayer believing God for a miracle and I refused to agree with the doctor’s report to be induced. There was a time when I prayed and said ‘God if only I could step at your Holy ground – where Your glory dwells, I know this induction will be averted’. I had so much faith that God would bring a solution before the due date. God being merciful, I was invited to an Altar call service . I was overjoyed because then I knew that my case was settled. I took this opportunity as a blessing and went expecting God to do that which He has promised.
At the Altar, I presented my case before God saying, “you are the God of nature, and I know you want me to go through natural labour and deliver my baby naturally, and I refuse to be induced.” I went back home knowing that God has answered my prayers. I was also privileged to receive an Umbrella during the Altar call service. One night I remembered that there was a message of inspiration behind the umbrella that I received as a gift from the Prophet of God. All I knew was that it was not just an umbrella, but it came along with the promises of Psalm 91. I also connected with the spirit fellowship prayers which the man of God offered through Facebook because he said the prayers were not time bound. I believed that God had worked out the answer and it was just a matter of time.
Praise the Living God!! On Monday 13th July, I went into labour naturally and delivered my baby safely, all to the Glory of God.
