‘Work as if everything depends on you and pray as if everything depends on God’- These are the words that Francistown native, Refilwe Rebaagetswe has lived by as a student. Today, she is before the church with an amazing testimony that should strike inspiration in every student across all boards.
In her is a brilliant student who aced her PSLE with an overall grade A and as she progressed to junior secondary school, she maintained good marks by working hard. By then, she truly believed that all it took to succeed was hard-work but she was in for an alarming surprise! Despite collecting quite a number of achievements to her name, she was never able to attain the accolade of being a top achiever. This almost impossible feat was her only dream and though she blazed through examinations and featured in most prize giving ceremony as the highest performer, even her remarkable ‘A’ grade in the JCE examinations could not land her a position in the prestigious and nationwide, ‘Top Achiever’ programme.
She knew in her innermost being that she possessed the substance needed to make the coveted list yet to her dismay, it just never happened. When she proceeded to study for her BGCSE at Mater Spei College, she was synonymously introduced to 3G Ministries and the PPS program. The testimonies of students who had performed above par motivated her to couple her hard work with a genuine relationship with God. She exerted all of her genuine willingness and Prophet’s Cedric’s messages became her driving force.
Even though she lived in an area that is almost 600km’s away from the church, she never wavered in faith but she continued to follow the righteous instruction of Prophet Cedric in his absence. As term 1 of Form Four came to a close, she emerged as the Best student in her class and even though this was great, she encountered a drastic drop in her statistics marks which were once at 98% and had now crumbled to 52%. Apart from that one coup, she was also limited to attaining a maximum of only 4 A*s.
She continued in the same spirit believing God for a tremendous breakthrough. The Lord brought about a turnaround in Refilwe’s life through her BGCSE results. She astonished herself and everyone around her as she scored a total of 8 A*s! This was simply unbelievable but her joy did not end there because, her long term desire was finally fulfilled. She has been selected as a beneficiary of the Top Achiever’s programme and has thus been admitted to study for A- levels at the prestigious Maru-A-Pula school on a full scholarship. Through all of this, she is certain that she could not have reached such heights without the presence of Prophet Cedric as her mentor and the PPS programme as the Light that torched her academic journey. In closing, she advises the upcoming PPS students to keep their dreams alive and to exert genuine willingness as it will attract Gods Ability and together, they will birth excellence.
