Many are faithful in prayer, frequenting the church and fasting but do not see results or answers to their prayers. The missing piece in the puzzle is “forgiveness”. Our services to God without forgiveness are valueless because Jesus Christ does not recognise a prayer, fasting, worship or an offering that springs from a heart that does not forgive or bear grudges. Grudges in our hearts are barriers for our prayer and worship to reach God. They stand between us and God as a wall of impediment. By not forgiving our offenders, we make it impossible for God to forgive and bless us. For the bible says, “And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors”. Matthew 6: 12 NIV. When you fail to forgive your offender you are equally failing to forgive yourself.
