Can anyone conquer a battle unknown to them? Consider the prayer of the Psalmist when he said “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. Take note for what of that Psalmist said, “For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.” [Psalm 51: 1-3] NIV. You can see that the forgiveness of the Psalmist started when he acknowledged his sin. Unlike the Psalmist, many people deny their sins by failing to acknowledge their weaknesses. They blame their misfortunes on others without assuming any responsibility for their wrongdoing.

However, sin is the bitter root of our downfall; it is the food that energizes satan to inflict sickness, pain and disorder in our lives. So then, if you do not acknowledge your transgressions, there is no way out for you but when you acknowledge your weaknesses, this is victory on its own.

Remember, when the battle is unknown, the solution is temporary. First, acknowledge that there is a problem before seeking for solution because no one can correct what they have not seen as wrong. Instead of complaining and blaming your misfortunes on others, assume the blame and take the responsibility for your mistakes, then God who forgives the sins of man shall grant you liberty over your battles.
