“WHY ARE YOU AFRAID OF TESTS?” Do you not know that God can allow satan to TEST you, either by shaking your marriage boat, causing you sickness or delaying your blessing.
HOW CAN YOU PROVE THAT YOUR FAITH IN GOD IS GENUINE? It’s simple because everything that is genuine is not afraid of tests! In John 16:33, Jesus said, “On this earth, you will have many trials but take heart, because I have overcome the world.” This means that tests will be allowed by God from the adversary to check how genuine you are. Even Master Jesus, who loved and still loves us to this day had to prove His love for us. He went to the Cross of Calvary and endured mockery, insults and scorn even unto the point of death, just so He could prove His love for us.
The Author and Pioneer of Faith said that He has overcome the world and so, this serves as an assurance that you too, will overcome therefore there is no need to fear. In anyway, fear simply translates that you are not genuine. More than that, whoever mocks you because of your trials is simply misguided because Christianity does not eliminate challenges. Jesus never promised to keep us away from challenges but to see us through them and that is why the Psalmist reiterated, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” [Psalm 23:4]
Your sickness, lack and unfortunate circumstance happen for God’s glory. That is, it honors God more when you believe Him in trials than in pleasure. By so doing, it breaks satan’s philosophy concerning Christianity. Many have been caused to doubt as a result of a gospel that suggests that one can never lose in God. That is a complete fallacy! Remember, your trials exist so that you can stand to prove the genuineness of your faith, love and trust in God. “In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.” [1 Peter 1: 6- 7]
Finally, challenges and uncomfortable circumstances may cause one to worry but always remember that a worried Christian questions his faith as a whole. As you see trials coming your way, hold your head up because now you understand that they are only there to reveal your genuineness.
THE GRACE OF GOD IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU.
