“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” [James 1: 2-4]
As a believer, life is bound to present you with various and diverse challenges but you should never allow these to rob you of your joy. For the truth behind your trials is this; when satan tampers with your finances, marriage, health, career or any of your material possession, his real mission is to affect your FAITH. Therefore, the real test lies not on your possessions but rather on your FAITH!
The enemy is aware that it is Faith that holds your life in one piece- it is the strength, pillar and the maintainer of your life. Without faith, one may be an expert in marital counselling and yet fail at their own marriage. Others may be learned, having read many books on financial stability yet still struggling in their finances. Even still, one may be a doctor, fully aware of the dangers of alcohol consumption yet struggle with an addiction- simply because they do not possess the faith to help them out of their challenges. It is not the knowledge you possess that will help you emerge victorious in the face of trials but rather the strength of your faith. When one opens the main door to a house, they must first go through many rooms before they reach the master bedroom. So it is with your faith; when satan opens the first door it is not possible for him to reach your faith right away and that is why he must first tamper with your possessions as an inlet to your faith.
Therefore, as a child of God, you ought to be conscious of your faith because the only guarantee for you to make it, is if your faith, I mean your spiritual life is solid. If your relationship with God is strong then like Job, you may lose it all but your faith will remain intact. The loss of your material possession shall never lead you to the loss of faith because of the knowledge that your challenges are but for a moment; in no time you shall get back up again.
THE GRACE OF GOD IS SUFFICIENT YOU.
